Feng Shui says that furniture should be placed a certain way in the room in order to give it certain energy. However if it must be placed under a window, make sure you use curtains. Things like this can help make the room more relaxing, and help sleep come easier.
Another method that is used around the world is Ayurvedic Medicine, which is a traditional Indian life science technique. This states that you should go to sleep before 10pm at night, since that is the “sleepy” part of the night when it will be easiest for you to fall asleep. This will also make it easier for you to wake up around 6am, which is when they say you should wake up in the morning. In Ayurvedic Medicine it is also suggested you should have lunch as your big meal of the day, and a light meal about three hours before going to sleep. A lower limb massage before retiring to bed using aromatherapy oils can also aid in falling asleep sooner.
