I know there is a such thing as restless leg syndrome but?

Is there a such thing as restless body syndrome. I am around 14+ weeks pregnant and I can't ever just lay down. I am constantly tossing and turning feeling so uncomfortable. It's so aggravating and sometimes I am so tired and I just can't sleep cause I am so fidgety. Does anyone else have this same feeling?
It's not even just when I am going to sleep either, it's even when I am just watching TV, or right now even I just want to pluck my arms and legs off!

Yep. I work in an office at a computer and it drives me insane! I literally have to get up and do something every 10 mins just to keep my sanity. Try knitting lol, take your mind off it!

I have that too. Constant twitching. Midwife said iron usually helps so if you can get your hands on some suppliments of iron if should ease up :-) I found just snacking on dried apricots helped a bit. Also good iron source is spinach.

I'm the same way, though I'm not as far along as you (I'm 3 months). In bed at night I'm constantly tossing and turning and can't seem to get comfortable. During the day I'm really fidgety, always having to be moving at least one part of my body (usually my feet, sometimes my hands). It gets really annoying, and I know others around me notice because they comment on it. I'm not sure what to tell you about how to stop it, since I can't stop it myself. My restlessness personally I think is because I was on anti-anxiety medication before I got pregnant and when I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking it. The medicine kept me calm and still, and I think now that I'm not on it my anxiety is causing me to be quite fidgety. At night, try using a body pillow to sleep. I've found them to be particularly comfortable. Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you. Mention it to your doctor at your next visit.

i used to take a muscle relaxer for my restless leg syndrome.. it would only bother me at night. but now i am preggo so i just have to tough it out. every once in a while i will take a tylenol pm when i can't sleep (which is safe)

Hey ladies…wait until you are in your third trimester!!! Then you will know being uncomfortable.

When I started getting cramps and restless legs, it was suggested that I take magnesium tables (between 300mg and 400mg) daily. This has helped unbelievably. Hot milk and camomile tea may also relax you before you go to sleep.

Good luck and hope you can manage to rest before bub arrives.
