What's the best way to combat symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome?
I've tried walking around, doing jumping jacks, etc. But you can't always do that if you're at work or on a plane. Any other suggestions?
The National Institute of Health has a great website that discusses Restless Leg Syndrome (see link below).
There are also several clinical trials of investigational medications and exercise therapy ongoing. Some of the studies include the transdermal application of patches containing medication absorbed through the skin. To determine if studies are available where you live, check the following website and search for "restless leg":

There's a new medicine for this, called Requip. http://www.webmd.com/content/Article/105/107866.htm

the absolute best (most thorough) way to end Restless Leg Syndrome is a bullet to the head. But I don't think you want that.
Try cutting back on caffeine, doing calf stretches (point toes, flex at the ankle, etc). Also try gum or another motion habit.

I too suffer this disturbing syndrome. If I miss taking my calcium and magnesium supplements, it flairs up.Going to sleep is the only thing that releives it for the time being. Hope this helps you.
