Does anyone know a cure for snoring?
My girlfriend gives out when i snore. And she says its like sleeping with a jackhammer each night. And also its getting to the point where i am being woken up by my snoring; Does anyone know a quick fix to snoring.
There's no quick fix except surgery, and surgery is only the fix if the cause of your snoring is a structural problem in your nose or throat.
Some things will help (but probably take time to make a difference) …
- If you're on the heavy side, lose weight.
- If you smoke, quit.
- If you drink, don't do it right before bedtime.
- Sleep on your side instead of your back
- Talk to your doc if it's a big problem or if none of the above apply (goes without saying)

A pillow over your face…. lol.. no, just kidding. My boyfriend also falls into the jackhammer category.. and I've discovered that it makes a HUGE difference if he sleeps with his arms over his head… it makes him snore MORE!! I also push him on his side… sleeping on his back makes it worse. You can try those nasal strips as well… if you are overweight, you can lose weight and it will make a difference. My boyfriend lost 20 pounds and it made a HUGE difference in his snoring habits!! The last resort is surgery to fix the nasal passages… but try the other stuff first okay? Well, except for maybe the pillow… that's just cruel. But I bet your girlfriend has thought about it… lol…

There are no quick fixes for snoring. First of all you need to undergo a sleep study which will probably diagnose your problem, it sounds an awful like like sleep apnea which is a very dangerous condition. There are also surgical options which are very effective against snoring, even a total cure. See your doctor for further advice.

i would think you have sleep apnea as i do.this causes chronic snoring resulting in airway collapse causing you to wake up and feeling tired through out the day.this is a serious problem which leads to high blood presure and heart attack.see your doctor 4 a referal to the sleep clinic ,you may need cpap, which is a mask which blows air in your aiiways while u sleep it works a treat.i have one and it has changed my life.

usually it happens when you're overweight. if this is the case - you may need to lose some pounds. It has a definite and dramatic effect on snoring. I promise.
