Snoring is much more than just an annoying sleep habit. Snoring can have serious health and relationship consequences. A snoring person’s sleeping partner often suffers from sleep deprivation, and relationships frequently deteriorate when one partner is a snorer. Here are some Tips to help cure snoring.
Loose weight. It’s one of the most important things one can do to help cure annoying snoring. It will help reduce the fatty tissue in the airway.
Sleep on your side to help reduce snoring. Attach a tennis ball to the back of your pajama top to keep you from rolling onto your back while sleeping.
Try sleeping without a pillow so your neck will not bend. Elevate the head of the bed to make breathing easier.
Stop smoking if you smoke, or reduce your exposure to secondhand smoke if you’re a nonsmoker.
Refrain from eating snacks or drinking alcohol for at least 3 hours before going to sleep. Avoid milk products before going to bed. They can produce mucus in the throat.
Avoid antihistamines or sleeping pills since they relax the throat muscles, but do keep nasal passages clear with nasal decongestants.
Use the various products on the market to treat snoring. Nasal strips, sprays, special “snore” pillows and other products may help.
Seek medical advice. There are various medical and surgical treatments available for snoring, including continuous pressure machines, dental appliances, oral devices, lower-jaw positioners, tongue-retaining devices, implants and surgical removal of tonsils and adenoids. Consult your Physician for more information.

Depend on how old yrou snorer is. If he/she is a todler then see a doc re: tonsillectomy. if they are older then a sleep study would be best. Sometimes Loud Snoring is due to sleep apnea.

One way is to sleep sideways and use a breathe right nasal strip.
However, there may be a bigger issue if the snoring gets too loud. Sometimes it may be obstructive sleep apnea.
2 simple ways to know if you’ve got sleep apnea are:
1) If you stop breathing for 10 secs or more while sleeping
2) Your body jerks when you gasp for air after that period of time
Hope that helps.
